About Railway Recruitment Board (RRB):Railway Station Master The Railway Recruitment Control Board is an Indian government agency. It was created in 1998 in the Department of Railways (New York). In 1945, service commissions were established in Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, and Lucknow. In 1948, the Indian Railways Research Committee evaluated the performance of commissions. In 1949, because of financial restrictions, the rental of Indian railways was banned. The number of commissions has been reduced to one in central Bombay. Improved Indian Railway, four service commissions were re-established in Bombay, Madras, Allahabad and Calcutta.
In 1956, the Standards Committee generally approved a method of recruitment through the establishment of railway commissions. In 1983, to meet the needs of neglected areas due to the location of existing commissions, seven more commissions were established, including Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhuvneshwar, Chandigarh, Jammu and Srinagar, serving in Lehn and Tran Dan drum. In 1984, two more service commissions were established in Melda and Gorakhpur. In January 1985, the rail service boards were renamed the Railway Board (RRB). There are currently 21 railway rental commissions. The RRB will replace most of the station chief assistant posts and other NTPC posts.
