The Indian Navy is an equal and cohesive three-dimensional force, capable of operating above, above and below the ocean, defending the interests of our country.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Marine Corps (CNS) uses the command and control of the Indian Navy from the Integrated Ministry of Defense (Navy) headquarters. He is assisted by the Deputy Chief of Staff (VCNS) and three other Chief Operating Officers, the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCNS), the Chief Operating Officer (COP) and the Chief Operating Officer (COM).

The Navy has the following three Commandments, each under the auspices of the Chief Flag: –
Western Naval Command (Headquarters in Mumbai).Eastern Naval Command (Headquarters in Visakhapatnam)Southern Naval Command (Headquarters in Kochi)Western and Eastern Maritime Commands are the ‘Operating Commandments’, and governs operations in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal .
