The Department of Finance operates under the Minister
Finance, Government of India. Ensures the management of
pay indirect taxes, financial regulations and administration
issues including drug control, Prevention of Money Laundering and the Use of Foreign Storage
Exchange Act and Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons Act, 1974
(COFEPOSA).
The Department of Finance operates under it all
guidance and control of the Secretary (Revenue). It’s running
control over matters relating to both Direct and Indirect
Union Taxes by two official Boards namely, Central
Direct Tax Board (CBDT) and Central Tax Board as well
Culture (CBEC). Each board is headed by a Chairperson who is also the Chairperson

Boards formed under the Central Board of Revenue Act,
1963.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) is part of

CBEC Introduces Customs SWIFT (Single Window
Interface for Facilitating Trade) permission. Customs SWIFT
empowers exporters / exporters to install standard electronics
‘Combined Announcement’ on the ICEGATE portal. Includes
Information requirements for Customs, FSSAI, Plant Quarantine,
Animal Quarantine, Drug Controller, Wild Life Control Bureau and
Fabric Committee. It replaces the nine different forms required by these
6 different frameworks and Customs. Indian Customs is among the few
select countries with one active window removal,
which includes multiple PGAs and integrated risk-based options.
